- I get asked so often via email whether I feel one should
go through the official diagnosis process (despite many
writers having qualms about the medical community), and
my answer is really pretty long and involved, so I felt
it would be best to put the whole piece up here, where I
can just point to the URL in an email. But of course,
you're welcome to read it, too. I wish that I had
followed this advice before I wandered down the path I
took.
